TITLE: Job Developer and Placement Specialist
NAME:
SUPERVISOR: Program Manager
DEFINITION:
Provide Job Development, Placement and Retention services to targeted population to secure full employment and maintenance for program participants.

- q Willingness to meet with and network with community leaders and employers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- q Meet as need with local employers to identify appropriate jobs for program participants.
- q Work with local employer to negotiate and formalize MOU's in efforts to secure jobs for clients.
- q Meet with program participants to identify job interests and ensure appropriate job matches.
- q Provide job leads to program participants.
- q Place program participants into jobs.
- q Complete all documentation in a timely manner (ex. progress notes, reports, etc.).
- q Work on a team with other staff to develop and help program participants achieve goals of the Treatment Plan.
- q Transport clients to job interviews (as needed).
- q Work within a team with program case managers to ensure that clients are appropriate for jobs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- q Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- q Ability to develop a rapport with clients
- q Ability to develop a rapport and solid linkages with local employers.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- q Must have at least a High School diploma.
- q Must have experience in and proven track record of Job development and Job Placement for at risk populations.
- q Must be autonomously mobile in accessing a variety of neighborhood-based facilities where meetings and programs are held.
- q Experience working with low to very low income clients
