The following Ends Statements were adopted by Provident's Board of Directors in 2004 to articulate the vision that Provident is working toward in our community.

Low-income families will be strengthened by:

• Being more self sufficient.
• Existing in a safe environment in which basic needs are met.
• Suffering less mental anguish.

• Living in wholesome family environments.
• Increasing work readiness skills.
• Being assimilated in the mainstream of the community.
• Preparing them to become self sufficient.
• Having a safe and nurturing community environment.

• Having the resources required to meet their social and economic needs.
• Gaining a sense of ownership and franchisement in the broader community.
• Having more people and organizations involved in addressing the communities’ needs.
