Printer-friendly view of this page.
safeTALK is a three-hour training that prepares anyone over the age of 15 to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources.

As a safeTALK-trained suicide alert helper, you will be better able to:

* Move beyond common tendencies to miss, dismiss or avoid suicide

* Identify persons who have thoughts of suicide

* Apply the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen and KeepSafe) to connect a person with thoughts of suicide to suicide first aid, intervention caregivers.

Who:  safeTALK is open to anyone in the community, age 15 and over, who is interested in increasing their suicide awareness skills.

This workshop is being offered at no cost to the community.  Participants will receive a safeTALK Resource Book, a wallet card identifying them as being safeTALK trained, and a certificate of attendance.

The workshop will be presented by Linda Fehrmann, PLPC, clinical staff member, Provident's Life Crisis Services.

The workshop will be limited to 30 participants.  Please reserve your spot online, or call Linda Fehrmann at 314.446.2828 to RSVP.
