TITLE: Program Assistant

DEFINITION: Provide administrative assistance, clerical support to program staff.  Collect program documentation, data entry and support the overall needs of the program.

  • Enthusiastic.
  • Ability to analyze and input program data.
  • Autonomously mobile.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  • Provides administrative assistance and clerical support to staff.
  • Assist in coordinating referrals, intakes and assessments.
  • Collects, analyze and input client data for reports.
  • Tracks outcomes and goals.
  • Provides written and oral communication to clients and program staff.  Coordinates and assembles reports as needed.
  • Assists with facilitating client orientation and training sessions.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Must be attentive to administrative details of the position that require accurate reporting.

 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, Windows.
  • Prior experience and interest in social services.
  • High school diploma or GED (prefer some college course work).
  • Must be autonomously mobile in accessing a variety of different neighborhood based facilities where meetings and programs are held.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Requires the ability to speak, see and hear.
  • Requires frequent movement about the office.
  • View the computer monitor.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 10lbs.
  • Requires the ability to handle unexpected problems arising from administrative or operational issues.
  • Must be autonomously mobile in accessing a variety of different neighborhood based facilities where meeting and programs are held.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Normal managerial administrative duties.
  • No unusual demands.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Well lit office with good heating, cooling and ventilation system.
  • Handicapped accessible.
  • Good office equipment.
