TITLE:  Program Manager                     

SUPERVISOR:  Vice President of Community Services

DEFINITION:  
  • Recruits participants for youth group for children exposed to violence.
  • Recruits participants for parent group.
  • Networks to promote the agency and programs and gets referrals.
  • Completes intake documentation.
  • Conducts pre and post test assessments.
  • Facilitates and coordinates youth group activities.  
  • Prepares reports, provides individual therapy.
  • Attends community meetings.

  • Able to prepare reports, tracks status.
  • Knowledge of client population.
  • Able to engage children and maintain attendance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Requires the ability to speak, see, and hear.
  • Requires the frequent movement about the office.
  • View the computer monitor.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to handle unexpected situations arising from administrative or operational issues.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Supervises Youth Support Worker.
Coordinates reports on demographics and services rendered as required.
Reports to Vice President of Community Services.
Serves as liaison to Provident.
Coordinates and implements youth group.
Performs other duties as assigned by Vice President of Community Services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and underlying family dynamics.
  • Knowledge and experience and thorough understanding of DSMIV.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Ability to recruit participants and market the program in the community.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters in Social Work or Counseling preferred.
