Coordinate and implement a comprehensive,
school-based after-school program. The Site Director is responsible for public
relations and for coordinating an effective service delivery system of
prevention services for youth during non-school hours and effectively involving
youth and parents. The coordinator is also responsible for recruiting community
partners to support the program through in-kind services and contributions.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Site Director is knowledgeable in best practices
in non-school hours prevention programs and community collaborations. The Director
is familiar with the risk and protective factors and works to address them in
all program components implemented. Also implements quality standards in
non-school hours programming.
Principal Duties:
Recruits participants
and parent volunteers.
Facilitates communication
between Provident and the school.
Develops resources to
maintain non-school-hours network programs and services and complies with
state childcare and licensure guidelines. Works with non-school-hours
network members to develop programs and services to support children and
families.
Ensures childcare
licensure is maintained in good standing.
Plans, coordinates and
implements quality prevention, recreational, cultural, physical, and
academic programming for youth during non-school hours.
Engages with youth and
parents in programming
Closely monitors all
youth activities.
Markets the Program
Collects and organizes
data and information from participants.
Evaluates service
delivery systems by gathering qualitative and quantitative information to
assess the quality of care provided the number of children served and the
impact services.
Writes and submits
reports on outcomes and service delivery monthly.
Facilitates delinquency
prevention, anger management, and behavior modification activities.
Works to engage the
community which includes:

Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in social work,
education, or related field experience in planning and implementing
community-based action programs preferred. Minimum of 24 college hours
required.
Experience and skill
working with youth and their families.
Excellent
communication, interpersonal and group facilitation skills.
Program writing,
proposal writing and fund raising skills.

where meetings and programs are held.
