TITLE:      Part Time Supervised Access Facilitator 

DEFINITION:          

Coordinates schedules of program and security staff, supervises staff. Collects and records client data in database management system. Facilitates supervised visitation and custody exchanges. Assists with preparation of program reports and maintains required statistics. Interfaces with the community.

 

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

Expertise in domestic violence and understanding of underlying family dynamics. Knowledge and understanding of child trauma. Familiar with DV Safety planning. High organization skills. Attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to anticipate, prepare for, and resolve client conflict with staff and other clients.

Principal Duties:

  • Supervises staff, students and volunteers
  • Assesses client needs, makes appropriate referrals as necessary, establishes, and maintains neutral relationship with parents. Documents cases and maintains records to comply with agency and court guidelines and  standards
  • Networks with selected community resources to promote agency referrals; may consult with other agencies or settings, interpreting agency mission
  • Networks with other Provident groups and programs; utilizes Provident services, groups and programs effectively
  • Participates in the planning and coordinating of Supervised Visitation and Safe Custody Exchange  Services
  • Facilitates Supervised Visits and Custody Exchanges
  • Consults with parents, DJO’s, GAL’s as needed
  • Attends Provident staff meetings and trainings. Provides constructive input during staff meetings and actively participates in the meetings
  • Cooperates with agency research projects and may initiate projects
  • Represents the agency in the community to create visibility for the agency and for the profession; represents a family viewpoint in public policy issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates understanding of domestic violence issues
  • Demonstrates understanding of child trauma
  • Defined knowledge of DSMIV in working assessments and treatment plans
  • Demonstrates strong ability to follow standards, orders, and procedures
  • Program management experience
  • Ability to make ethical and fair decisions

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Clinical Master’s Degree
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Program writing, proposal writing and fund raising skills
  • Strong commitment to agency mission
  • Excellent communication skills

 

 

Physical Demands:

  • Requires the ability to speak, see and hear
  • Requires frequent movement about the office
  • View the computer monitor
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs
  • Requires ability to handle unexpected problems arising from administrative or operational issues

 

Mental Demands

  • Normal managerial administrative duties
  • No unusual demands
