10 Reasons to do a Practicum with LCS

 

1.    You get to help save lives and get extensive training about dealing with suicide!


2.    You will work clinically with fascinating people (mentally ill, addictive, depressed, angry, poor, abused, needy, suicidal) who will challenge your way of thinking!


3.    You will learn about the broad range of social service referrals for metropolitan

St. Louis and beyond!


4.    There are over 50 hours of structured training where you will learn 2 therapeutic models including crisis intervention and case management.


5.    You get to have an alias – let your alter ego go wild!


6.    While helping other people with their life crises, you get perspective on your own.


7.    You will learn to multi-task beyond your imagination!


8.    You’ll get super supervision with a sense of humor in a work environment where you are treated like a peer!


9.    You will learn to LISTEN.  You think you know how to listen now?? Wait till we are through with you!


10.    Practicum hours are available 24 hours a day, everyday of the year with a soda machine and a kitchen.  Where else can you do a practicum in your pajamas at 4 AM?
