Have you or someone you know ever done one of the following?
  • Pushed, slapped, shoved, grabbed or wrestled with a partner?
  • Insulted, screamed or sworn at him/her?
  • Called him/her names or made fun of him/her?
  • Given him/her angry or threatening stares?
If you or someone you know has or could answer yes to any of these questions, Provident can help.

Those who attend MEDV do so either through self-referral, a court mandate, private practitioner or social service referrals. This is a year-long program in which participants learn that violence is not only physical, but verbal, emotional, sexual and economic as well. They will learn alternatives to violent behavior in addition to nonviolent parenting skills.

The program consists of individual assessment and weekly educational and group counseling sessions.
