Jack Kerber has joined Provident, Inc. as Vice President of Development and Marketing, it was announced today by Tom Mulhearn, President and CEO of the organization.

In his role, Kerber will serve as the chief fundraising officer securing necessary resources to enable Provident to continue its long legacy of service to the community. Kerber will also be responsible for the Provident brand, leading the agency’s marketing effort in support of Provident’s counseling, community service and crisis hotline units.

“We’re very pleased to add Jack to this key position within our senior leadership team,” said Mulhearn. “As we move into our 16th decade of service, we’re certain that his demonstrated ability to create and execute highly effective development programs will support our mission of saving lives daily.”

Kerber has served a broad range of nonprofit organizations throughout his professional career. Through these positions he has planned and managed capital campaigns and performed feasibility studies for youth, cultural, educational, health and social service organizations. His ability to develop a creative approach to building planned and annual gift programs, grant writing, membership development and endowment programs is highly regarded. He comes to Provident from Skystone Ryan, Inc. where he served as manager of their St. Louis office for the past 13 years. He previously held the position of Director or Civic Affairs and Development for The Muny in St. Louis for more than a decade.

Kerber is a frequent speaker and instructor in development seminars with a strong background in corporate strategies, board development and marketing for nonprofit organizations. He has served as president of the St. Louis Regional Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals and in 1996 received their award as Outstanding Fund Raising Executive for the region. Jack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of MissouriSt. Louis.
