Based on a successful launch in the City of St. Louis, Provident’s TeleHope program is expanding into St. Louis County as well as Jefferson and Reynolds Counties.

This program addresses the epidemic of loneliness for older adults. One of the many benefits of this this program is the personal connection it offers with a low barrier to care – not even requiring transportation.

TeleHope is for adults age 55 and older, and there is no fee to participate. The Provident team checks in with participants multiple times per week via telephone to help them manage feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety, or thoughts of suicide.

Provident is working in partnership with area agencies such as the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging (SLAAA). TeleHope is funded by the St. Louis Mental Health Board.
