Expanding Behavioral Health Intervention Specialists in Schools

News, Views

Provident is excited to announce the expansion of our Behavioral Health Intervention program into more schools! Following the early successes at Brittany Woods Middle School in University City, we plan to have specialists embedded in at least two more schools as early as this upcoming school year: Fairview Elementary in the Jennings School District and Hazelwood East High School.

These specialists provide essential support to students through non-therapeutic counseling, care coordination, building coping skills, giving them someone to confide in, and offering both individual and group interventions tailored to meet diverse needs. They also work closely with teachers, counselors, and principals to provide additional support to students in need.

The expansion follows our specialist Sam Guthrie receiving rave reviews for his impactful work at Brittany Woods Middle School. Since joining in February, Sam has been a tremendous asset, actively engaging with students and school staff to build meaningful relationships.
