It’s been one year since Care and Counseling joined Provident Behavioral Health. When Provident began talking with Care and Counseling, we knew it was an agency that cared for the St. Louis community for over fifty years. And we knew that we wanted to preserve its historic legacy and honor the past leaders and supporters of its mission. Over the past 12 months, we have:
- Maintained a strong relationship with the Episcopal Bishop Deon Johnson and many legacy Care and Counseling supporters
- Provided spiritual training for our clinicians
- Promoted a Care and Counseling clinician to Site Supervisor
- Met with and/or provided clinical information to dozens of religious institutions
- Launched an interfaith clergy support group
- Hosted an open house at the Creve Coeur building
- Hosted a luncheon with the Care and Counseling Advisory Council
- Continued our Survivors of Suicide support groups at the Creve Coeur building
- Updated the Creve Coeur building with tree care, landscaping, and updated painting, flooring, lighting, and office furniture
