Better Days in the Classroom and Beyond
Serving St. Louis and Jefferson County
School-based counselors provide the tools that build emotional strength and support learning
Most young people spend five days a week, nine months of the year in a formal classroom setting. It is here that they prepare for their future, and also where emotional challenges tend to be the most obvious.
Provident Behavioral Health offers school-based therapy for children and teens with emotional or behavioral problems. Through partnerships with districts throughout the St. Louis region, our counselors are able intervene so children get the help they need to achieve their best at school.
We do school-wide training, programmatic work on topics such as bullying, and small group counseling sessions when there are students with similar challenges. Most often, our therapists work one-on-one with individual students to identify their unique needs and develop a plan to address them. We connect them with outside resources when necessary and help put them on a path to success.
